Ancilla College Academic Divisions

Ancilla College has experienced faculty and advisors in five academic divisions. These divisions are comprised of related fields of study.

Division of Education
Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development Education Certificate

This division prepares students to work professionally in a variety of ways with young children, school age children, and high school students. The curriculum also prepares the graduates to transfer to a four-year institution for course work leading to a bachelor's degree and a teaching license.

Division of History, Behavioral Science, and Business

This division aims to provide understanding, in addition to knowledge, of past and present people and events which impact and help explain human behavior and promote understanding of human motivation. The division also provides career preparation in business, criminal justice and human service professions.

Division of Nursing and Health Sciences
Art, English, Foreign Languages, Music, Philosophy, Religion, and Liberal Studies

This division includes the Nursing Program and seeks to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct care to a variety of individuals in a setting consistent with the health care needs of people in the communities that they will serve.

This division strives to provide students with an education reflecting a sound academic foundation in classical and practical mathematics, physical and biological sciences and a current technological focus in computing and information science.
