Applying for Financial Aid

How to Apply for Financial Aid

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only form all students must fill out to apply for federal and state grants and to determine loan eligibility. Additional forms will be required by the school if the student's file is chosen for verification of information (see Financial Aid FAQ ). If the student or parents are interested in applying for loans, separate application steps are required after completing the FAFSA.

Although families are encouraged to use actual tax information when completing the FAFSA, estimated figures may be used, if necessary. Financial aid awards based on estimated financial information will be subject to revision upon receipt and review of actual financial information.

The Financial Aid Office will mail an estimated financial aid award letter using estimated full time enrollment figures to non-enrolled applicants once federally calculated initial FAFSA results are received. Financial aid awards based on estimated enrollment information will be subject to revision upon receipt and review of actual enrollment information.
