In Ancilla College’s Business Administration program you will gain powerful business skills and a foundation to build better business practices. Your degree will provide you with hands-on experiences and knowledge related to accounting, economics, management, business law, and marketing.

What courses are offered?
First semester courses usually include:
Freshman Seminar - Humanities 101 – 1 credit hour
Writing I – 3 cr. hrs.
Computer Literacy – 3 cr. hrs.
General Psychology - 3 cr. hrs.
College Algebra - 3 cr. hrs.
(You may be able to test out of several of these courses, and you can transfer in comparable coursework from other institutions.)
Business Law – 3 cr. hrs.
Public Speaking - 3 cr. hrs.
a Religion, Philosophy or Ethics course – choose one for 3 cr. hrs.
Writing II - 3 cr. hrs.
(Again, you may be able to test out of several of these courses, and you can transfer in comparable coursework from other institutions.)
In your second semester you are asked to also choose a Business elective from:
BADM 100 Intro to Business, BADM 160 Personal Finance, BIS 210 Computer Applications for Business, MGT 210 Principles of Management, MKT 220 Principles of Marketing, or MATH 215 Statistics.
The second year of the program:
Financial Accounting – 3 cr. hrs.
Microeconomics – 3 cr. hrs.
Introduction to Sociology – 3 cr. hrs.
a Science course (all Ancilla students must take two lab-based Science courses) – 5 cr. hrs.
a Literature Humanities, Fine Arts, Religion or Philosophy course - 3 cr. hrs.
Managerial Accounting – 3 cr. hrs.
Macroeconomics 3 cr. hrs.
a second Humanities, Fine Arts, Religion or Philosophy course - 3 cr. hrs.
a History or Political Science course 3 cr. hrs.
a second Science course (all Ancilla students must take two lab-based Science courses) – 5 cr. hrs.
