Resources for students with disabilities
Ancilla College provides academic services and accommodations for all students who provide appropriate documentation of the existence of a disability. In this way, we comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Ancilla College policy. These include standard educational accommodations such as priority registration, extended time on tests, testing in a distraction-reduced environment, the use of assistive technology such as the Kurzweil 3000, and electronic versions of textbooks; facilities accommodations may include, for example, adjustable height tables, seating accommodations, or room adjustments. Accommodations are provided on a case-by- case basis and are based on adequate documentation of the student’s disability. Students who wish to disclose a disability and seek accommodations should visit the College or call 574-936-8898, extensions 302 or 366, for more information. It is in the student's best interest to do so as early as possible prior to the start of classes.
