You’re Invited to Dinner (and to help a student!)

The Changing Lives Scholarship Dinner provides funding to scholarships that aid students financially in order for them to receive and education that helps them better contribute to their communities. Your invitation to the formal event held at Swan Lake Resort on November 10th , 2017  can be accessed by following this link: https://www.ancilla.edu/changing-lives-scholarship-dinner/

The fifth annual Changing Lives Scholarship Dinner will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at Swan Lake Resort. Guests will enjoy a social hour followed by a delicious meal prepared by the exceptional culinary staff at Swan Lake Resort. A variety of silent auction items are available to bid on during the evening, as well as the live scholarship auction which raised over $20,000 last year!

A special part of the program is the presentation of two of the college’s highest honors: The Ancilla Award and the Sister Mary Dolores Outstanding Alumni Award. This year we are proud to present the Ancilla Award to the Oliver Ford Family. Jack Oliver and family have been a long standing partner of Ancilla College and the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.  The Sister Mary Dolores Outstanding Alumni Award will be presented to Jill Neidlinger (AC ’89). Jill not only graduated from Ancilla, but she is a faculty member teaching students in mathematics and education.

Ancilla students will again be on hand to sit with guests and handle a variety of tasks throughout the evening. Two students will also give testimonials of their time at Ancilla and the impact it has made on their lives. Our emcee this year is Charlie Adams and our Honorary Co-Chairs are Pete and Vicki Peuquet of Bremen.

Funds raised from this event help provide need-based grants and scholarships to worthy students to attend Ancilla College, who otherwise might not be able. During the 2016-17 school year, 90% of our students received financial assistance in the form of grants, scholarships or awards.  Your support of this event is very much appreciated. Last year $50,000 was raised to help Ancilla students, and we hope to exceed that this year. Check out our Facebook page ahead of the event to see some of the items available during the silent auction.
