“It’s been a goal of the agriculture program at Ancilla College to start a Boer Goat herd for research and to help educate students in the field of animal science,” said Agriculture program director Tim McLochlin.

This weekend Ancilla’s Animal Science program took a big step forward thanks to the incredible generosity of the Brad and Beth Holman family of St Joseph, IN.

The college has received generous donations of money for scholarships, property to help build the endowment, life insurance proceeds, and the occasional assortment of stocks and bonds, but this is the first time animals were donated to the school.

“Their donation of 15 registered boer goats is going to truly help set our special program apart. Their kindness and belief in our program truly makes this opportunity even more special! It is truly an exciting time at Ancilla College!” McLochlin said.
