DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla College men’s basketball team continues to be successful adding their fifth straight victory at home over Harry S. Truman College, 96-51 and moving their record to 10-3.

As the winning streak continues for the Chargers, with a 45 point victory Thursday night, several players had great showings. Sophomore, Alex Henn led all scoring with 22 points followed by teammates Martavious Richmond with 19 and Anderson McCoy who put up 13. Don’Tayon Young and Tre’Shon Heard led the team in rebounds pulling down nine and eight respectfully and Heard added seven assists to the Charger stats.

“Defensively we weren’t real solid in the first half,” commented head coach Aaron Butcher. “We were able to get it going in the second half and we were also able to knock some shots down. We feel good about the directions this team is going and look forward to the tough conference schedule we have waiting for us when we return from break.”

As the team rounds out their games for the first semester, their record stands at 10-3 overall with an eight game winning streak, five of which were played at home in Charger Arena. The team will return from break for their first Michigan Community College Athletic Association conference game at Lake Michigan College on January 4th. Game time set for 7:30p.m. Ancilla’s next home game will be Saturday, January 9th at 3:00p.m. against Grand Rapids Community College.
