DONALDSON, IN – On Saturday, April 16th, the Ancilla College Volleyball Team hosted an Alumni Game to benefit the Heminger House of Plymouth.
The Charger Volleyball Team hosts this event every other year in the spring. This year’s games brought back alumni from the classes of 2010 – 2015.
“As a coach, this is one of my most rewarding times of the year,” said Ancilla College Head Volleyball Coach Lana Singleton. “Seeing all these wonderful young ladies come back to a place they called home for two years is wonderful. Every alumni game, I am so impressed by the quality of the young women we have had go through this program and how they are positively impacting their worlds and truly making a difference. I feel very humbled, honored and most importantly truly blessed that I was a part of their journey.”
During the event, hundreds of personal care items were donated from players, alumni, the Sister Power Sisters, family and friends to benefit the Heminger House of Plymouth, a safe shelter for victims of domestic violence in the Marshall County Area.
Ancilla College (www.ancilla.edu), part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 25 associate degrees, eight one-year certificates and 20 athletic programs.
