WESTVILLE, IN – Westville High School senior, Emily Rogers, recently signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play women’s soccer at Ancilla College for the 2015-2016 school year.
Rogers is a four year varsity letter recipient for the Blackhawks serving her team in the position of goalie. While playing soccer, she was named Most Valuable Player, has received the Mental Attitude award, PCC and Top Team Player awards.
Outside of soccer, Rogers also played varsity softball, earning two varsity letters as well as the award for most improved. She was named to the A-honor roll two years and the Principle’s Honor-Roll one year. She was also president of the Westville High School National Honor Society and has received top honors in chemistry.
When Rogers was asked to comment on why she chose Ancilla College, she responded; “I feel it’s a great fit for me with my major and with the soccer team.”
“I am extremely excited to be adding Emily to our soccer program,” commented Women’s Soccer Head Coach Justin Crew. “When I think about the type of person I want representing our school and program, Emily immediately comes to mind. I am expecting good things from her on and off the field.”
Ancilla College, part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 18 Associates Degree and ten athletic programs. Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and is located two miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana
