Coaching Positions

These positions are full-time salary/benefits plus expenses that includes head coaching/recruiting duties, plus additional responsibilities depending on qualification. There are numerous occupational possibilities.

Financial Job Description

Job Title:                 Director of Financial Aid

Exempt:                   Yes

Status:                      Full Time

Schedule:                8:00 am – 4:30 pm, M-F

Department:          Enrollment Management

Reports to:             Vice President of Enrollment Management

Summary:  The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive set of financial aid policies and programs related to Ancilla College financial aid programs, including federal, state, college, and private funds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and supervises all financial aid processes for awarding student loans, grants, scholarships and awards;
  • Manages the automated processes of the ISIR load, needs analysis, communication track assignments, budgeting, and aid packaging;
  • Oversees the processing of Federal Pell, Federal Direct Loans and private loans, Return of Title IV calculations, and conducts the monthly and yearly fund reconciliations of these programs;
  • Calculates refunds and repayments for students who withdraw from classes;
  • Develops and monitors the Financial Aid Office operating budget;
  • Allocates college work-study funds to departments and monitors college work-study expenditures for each participating student;
  • Monitors student satisfactory academic progress related to participation in financial aid programs and notifies students of probation and suspension actions;
  • Interprets and applies federal and state laws and regulations, and college policies, relating to the awarding of financial aid funds;
  • Oversees all administrative functions of the Financial Aid Office;
  • Maintains financial aid data to assure timely and accurate submission of required federal, state and institutional reports;
  • Maintains current knowledge regarding applicable federal and state laws and regulations related to the awarding of financial aid funds;
  • Contributes to student satisfaction through delivery of high quality customer service in all aspects of the administration of the College’s financial aid program;
  • Ensures that students are informed about their eligibility for financial aid and communicates effectively with students during the awarding process;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Director of Financial Aid supervises the Financial Aid Counselor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in student personnel or related area and a minimum of three years of administrative responsibility for financial aid programs at an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to the administration of financial aid programs;
  • Specific knowledge of Federal Title IV regulations
  • Experience in working with awarding of institutional financial aid funds and the coordination of the funds with federal and state financial aid funds;
  • Experience with standard federal financial aid methodology and with institutionally-based financial aid programs;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines and objectives;
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
