Director, Department of Nursing

Ancilla College seeks applications or nominations of a dynamic academic leader for the Director of Nursing at Ancilla College. The Department of Nursing at Ancilla is a high value and high visibility program for the college. The candidate must possess significant experience in effective leadership and administration.

Fulltime, on-site, exempt, 12-month position

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Nursing at Ancilla College will represent the college as a campus and community leader. The director will provide leadership and assure the effectiveness of the nursing program in matters of curriculum development, program growth, and faculty development as well as develop and oversee the department budget.  An immediate requirement is to secure appropriate national accreditation for the program. The director will also be required to teach courses in the division as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: An earned Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from a nationally accredited institution is required.

Terminal degree or progress towards a doctoral degree in any of the following disciplines, is highly preferred (and listed in respective order):

  • Nursing (PhD or DNP)
  • Education (PhD or EdD) (with concentrations in curriculum and instruction, higher education leadership, or administration [not K-12]), or
  • Administration (PhD or DBA) (with concentrations health care, health policy, higher education, or business)

Experience: Previous nursing education and administrative experience is required.

  • minimum of five years clinical nursing experience, preferably in diverse care settings;
  • minimum of five years of teaching experience in undergraduate nursing curriculum/education administration;
  • three years of experience in undergraduate nursing program administration;
  • knowledge of web-based learning management systems, learning assessment, and student information systems is preferred

Executive Assistant to the President

Executive Assistant to the President

Full time, exempt

This position reports directly to the President of Ancilla College and is responsible for a variety of administrative and coordination duties. The executive assistant will serve as the primary staff member supporting the work of the president, managing the president’s calendar, arranging the president’s travel, working with the president on presentations and events, and will also serve as the assistant secretary and liaison to the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or comparable combination of education and experience preferred.

Coaching Positions

The Ancilla College Athletic Department is starting three new sports and is seeking a head coach for each. These team players will fill immediate full-time openings for a Head Wrestling and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. To learn more go to www.ancillachargers.com

These positions are full-time salary/benefits plus expenses that includes head coaching/recruiting duties, plus additional responsibilities depending on qualification. There are numerous occupational possibilities.
