Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Closed Saturday & Sunday
Notes for November and December–IMPORTANT!
Reminder: All library materials are due back by 8 AM on Friday, December 7, 2018, unless other arrangements have been made with the librarian. This includes books, calculators, DVDs, netbooks…everything. If you don’t return them by this time, I will be blocking your grades bright and early. The good news–we don’t charge overdues, so even if the item has been overdue for awhile, returning it releases any library holds you may already have and will keep you from getting one placed. All for free!
Happy (upcoming) Thanksgiving! Everyone is invited to a Thanksgiving “Dinner” (read “Lunch”) on Monday, Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 11:45 AM–12:45 PM. FREE FOOD!!!
Also, please note that the College (and that means the Library, too) is closed from Wednesday, Nov. 21–Sunday, Nov. 25. We’ll be opening the library with normal operating hours on Monday, Nov. 26. Have a great Thanksgiving break!
Think only Santa Claus gets cookies for Christmas? Think again!! Once more, Ancilla students have been polite, respectful, hard-working, and generally all-around nice in the Library, so I’m going to give you a Christmas gift of cookies and punch for Finals Week! Come in before or after your finals on Monday and Tuesday (and maybe Wednesday and Thursday–we’ll see how the supplies hold out) for a Christmas treat. Good luck on those finals, and have a happy holiday! We hope to see you in the spring….

Thanks to all the students who participated in the survey! I’ll be compiling and analyzing the results this week and sending a report to the administration, faculty, staff–and to you, the students–either late this week or early next. I’ll be doing short surveys like this every semester, so please consider participating in our spring 2019 survey. Thanks again!

NOTE: For off-campus access to eBooks and articles, you will need to set a password. Follow Library Account Login Instructions on how to set a password, or reset a forgotten password.
Math Lab is available for students needing extra help with Hawkes and math, and Writing Lab will proofread papers and help with citation.
Course Reserves can be used to verify textbook information and to find out what supplemental books the instructors have set aside for their courses that are available for checkout through the library. Some instructors may also reserve supplemental websites such as Hawkes math videos; these websites have been added, when possible, to the reserves.
Courses are listed alphabetically by course name.
Searching Simplified is our database searching tutorial. While it is EBSCO-specific in many ways, a lot of the basic information can be used with other databases, too.
You can also view other Library Tutorials.
While you’re at the library, why not enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa? Only 65 cents/cup!
Our third special edition flavor, Apple Struedel, will be available the week of Nov. 26. Remember, there will only be 12 servings on a first come, first served basis. If we still have the flavor by the start of the next week, we’ll continue to sell it until we’ve run out. At the moment, there are still several Pumpkin Spice and there’s one pod of the French Toast flavor available.
