Ancilla Behavioral Science

Check out what this program has to offer!

Why study behavioral science?

Ancilla College offers a Behavioral Science degree designed to prepare you for many different occupational and educational opportunities. Your courses will guide you through the complexities of human development and behavior in a world of different people, communities, workplaces, and cultures.

The Behavioral Science program will help you build knowledge and skills in how the human psyche interacts with the physical and social world; to understand the social structures that shape our personal and collective lives; to prepare you for further study and for careers in the social sciences, counseling, social work, human resources and various human service professions.

The Behavioral Science program prepares students for Baccalaureate programs in psychology, sociology, social work and criminal justice at universities across the country. Graduates have gone on to pursue careers in the human services, teaching, law enforcement, addiction counseling and graduate studies in psychology. An associate degree will qualify you to serve as an assistant to a counselor, licensed psychologist or to assist in psychology research, but it usually serves as a foundation from which you pursue additional education. It can also serve as launching pad if you intend to apply your psychology background in a different field such as marketing research, sales or business management.
