Logistics and Inventory Systems

Logistics and Inventory Systems

Why study Logistics and Inventory Systems?

Everything you drink, eat, and wear is delivered to you from somewhere else—sometimes half a world away. Logistics is the systematic design and management of the many ways you connect to the world. A degree in logistics and inventory systems provides students with the tools and skills they need to understand the way the world moves, ships, stores, and delivers goods. A logistics degree from Ancilla is the best way to launch a career in this fast growing field.

In today’s complex global economy, an organization’s overall success boils down to the efficiency and effectiveness of its supply chain. Competitive strength relies both on a firm’s products and the processes that provide products to customers. Effective supply chain management enhances productivity and performance with the strategic combination of people, systems and technology to successfully compete in the global marketplace.

The primary goals for the Logistics and Inventory Systems program is to apply foundational logistics concepts and sound analytical principles to efficiently and effectively advance logistics and supply chain management capabilities, provide opportunities to solve and professionally communicate technical solutions and results, and to understand the need to pursue lifelong learning in the field.
