ELKHART, IN – Alexis Miller, an Elkhart Memorial High School senior, recently signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to join the Lady Charger Basketball team for 2015.
Miller, a 5’5” guard for the Crimson Chargers, is a three time varsity letter recipient for basketball. Her team, under direction of head coach Steve Scott, went 14-14 in overall play with a 5-5 record in the Northern Lakes Conference. Miller will join the Chargers this year to play with former teammate Khadijah Moore at Ancilla.
“I feel Ancilla will be a nice fit for me because of its size and focus on academics while still being able to participate in athletics,” commented Miller on why she chose Ancilla. “I am hoping to get my general studies done at Ancilla and then pursue pre-med.”
“Alexis is a very good outside shooter,” remarked Ancilla head coach Tom Robbins. “She comes from a successful high school program, and we are excited to have her here at Ancilla.”
Alexis is the daughter of Jessica Miller of Elkhart, IN and plans to major in Professional Health Sciences.
Ancilla College, part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 18 Associate’s Degree and ten athletic programs. Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and is located two miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana.
