DONALDSON, IN – On Wednesday night, the Ancilla College women’s basketball team traveled to Lansing Community College to play in an MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association) conference match up, that led to the Chargers being defeated by Lansing 59-50.
The leading scorer for the Chargers was Khadijah Moore with 20 points. Jasmine Love added 10 points, Teshylia Peters had eight points and Bianca Maxwell pulled down 11 rebounds.
“The biggest issue was our inability to put the ball in the basket,” commented Tom Robbins, head coach for Ancilla. “We really struggled shooting the ball from the field and from the free throw line. I also felt we could have rebounded the ball better and been more disciplined on defense.”
Ancilla will continue their conference game action this weekend on Saturday, as they take on Lake Michigan College at 1:00p.m.
Ancilla College (www.ancilla.edu), part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 22 associate degrees, eight one-year certificates and 19 athletic programs. Since 1937, the college has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. It is a small, private, liberal arts school located two miles south of U.S. 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana.
