Ancilla College is pleased to announce that Liz King MSN, BS, RN has accepted the position of Director of Nursing. Liz has been a nursing instructor at Ancilla since December 2015, and was recently named Division of Nursing Chairperson. She has worked in trauma, medical/surgical, oncology, home care, hospice, LPN instructor, clinical educator, private duty pediatric nurse, and a nursing case manager.

King will be leading a program that currently has 75 students enrolled between the ASN (Associate of Science Nursing) and the LPN (licensed practical nurse) to RN (registered nurse) bridge program. Current student, Brayann Hudgens said, “Liz has the personality, attitude and voice to make the changes that are needed to make the Ancilla nursing program a place everyone wants to attend.”

With a focus on student success and support, King said, “I am excited at the challenges ahead of me and am dedicated to aligning the program’s mission with that of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.”
